When you submit our contact form or purchase a workbook, we collect the information you provide: name, business name, email address, phone number, referral source, marketing preference, and details about your accounting systems and needs. We do not collect payment card details on this Site; payments are processed by our payment provider, which handles card data under its own privacy policy.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure records standard server logs, which may include your IP address, browser and device information, referring page, and pages visited, used for security and site operation. The Site currently uses no analytics cookies and no advertising cookies or pixels. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy before doing so.
How we use information
- To respond to your inquiry and provide the services or products you request.
- To deliver purchased workbooks, receipts, and product updates by email.
- To operate and secure the Site.
- If you choose to receive marketing communications, to send occasional bookkeeping tips, workbook updates, and information about our services and offers. You may opt out of promotional email at any time; product-delivery, security, transaction, and purchased-update messages may still be sent when necessary to fulfill your purchase. Information may be accessed and used within Tax Resolution Services of Hawaii Inc, including its Pono Ledger Hawaiʻi bookkeeping division, for the purposes described in this policy. Our firm is owned and led in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. Some bookkeeping and administrative work may be performed by team members or service providers located outside of Hawaiʻi, including outside the United States. All team members and providers are bound by confidentiality obligations and access information only as needed to perform their work, and information remains subject to this policy wherever it is processed. Client engagement letters contain additional detail and, where required, specific consents.
Retention
Inquiry information is retained for as long as reasonably needed to respond and follow up. Purchase records are retained as required for tax, accounting, and professional obligations. Client engagement records are governed by the confidentiality terms of your engagement letter, which control over this policy.
Security
We use commercially reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please do not send financial records or passwords through ordinary email.
Your choices & requests
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information by emailing aloha@ponoledgerhawaii.com. We will verify requests by confirming control of the email address associated with the information, and may retain information we are required to keep (for example, purchase and tax records). California residents may have additional rights under California law; requests may be submitted the same way.
Children
The Site is a business service and is not directed to children under 13; we do not knowingly collect information from children.

The Site links to third-party services (for example, our client portal and payment pages). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
